How to Use Pre-Built Predictive Audiences in GA4:
Step 1: From property click Admin -> Data Display
Step 2: Select Audiences from the list of options.
Step 3: Click the New Audience button.
Step 4: Click Predictive under Use a reference.
On this screen, you can select any of the pre-built audiences that are Ready to use.
How to Build a Custom Predictive Audiences in GA4:
Step 1: From property click Admin -> Data Display
Step 2: Select Audiences from the list of options.
Step 3: Click the New Audience button.
Step 4: Select "Create a custom audience" from the Start from scratch section
Step 5: Select "Predictive" from the Add new condition dropdown, then select your audience scope. You can see which option is available to you as it is marked with a green checkmark.
Step 6: Click Add filter button. Configure prediction with available options: most likely or least likely to purchase. You can also define your custom range. You can also use the slider on the right to see your potential audience size as percentages change.
You can also adjust the scope of the audience on the right. Across all sessions means adding all users to the audience if the condition is true for all the previous sessions. Within the same session means adding a user to the audience if the condition is true for a single session. The same event means adding a user to the audience if the condition is true for a particular event.
Most of the time across all sessions will be selected.
Step 8: Define Membership duration for the predictive audience.
The membership duration refers to the time the metrics are calculated for. You can specify that the metric condition can be true during any point in the lifetime of a user by selecting “set to maximum limit”, or that it must be true during a specific number of days, like 30 days.
Step 9: Save the Configuration and the audience will be available on the Audience tab.
