The Role 

Napkyn Analytics is one of the largest dedicated digital analytics consultancies in North America. We work with marketing, IT, operations and finance executives at some of the most prominent brands on the web to help them strategically implement digital analytics and report on digital performance against c-level business objectives. 

As a Client Project Manager, you are the operational contact for our clients and internal core team project lead for engagements. You leverage your expertise and your ability to collaborate within and across teams to drive project efficiencies. Reporting to the Director, Client Experience, you work in partnership with Napkyn’s Client Experience managers on a defined set of clients and projects, and take the lead on some smaller engagements.  Your days are busy establishing and managing against project timelines, facilitating communications, and reporting on project status and performance. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and know how to balance the best practices of project management with the reality of professional services and consulting engagements.

Detail oriented without losing sight of the big picture, you are set apart by your sense of accountability for delivering projects on time and on budget.  Your passion for efficiency in process and workflow allow you to quickly build trust with all stakeholders and ensure we deliver high value projects profitably.

The Details

Responsibilities 

  • Active management of multiple digital analytics services projects, for multiple clients
  • Develop and ensure execution of project plans, goals, and budgets
  • Proactively monitor projects to identify risks to successful on time, on budget execution
  • Offer creative solutions to risks and delays
  • Communicate directly with client-side operational stakeholders on project status, actions, and roadblocks, working within established account management practices
  • Work alongside Client Experience Managers to support the total client engagement and drive growth
  • Provide reporting on project and team performance, leveraging project management tools
  • Seek to optimize workflows internally
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills: 

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management principles, techniques, tools and methodologies to client-facing services projects
  • Comfort and experience managing waterfall and agile/ad hoc projects
  • Adaptable and flexible, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills, including written and oral communications
  • Ability to build rapport and trust quickly
  • Proven ability to prioritize and balance projects, tasks, and stakeholder groups
  • Results oriented, with a track record of successful project execution and a proven ability to report on project performance
  • Detail oriented with solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and facilitate effective meetings for internal and client teams
  • Team player, with strong interpersonal skills 
  • Strong digital marketing or analytics experience an asset (Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics), enabling ability to recommend services solutions for best in class digital analytics 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Education (or equivalent experience) in a discipline such as Business Administration, Computer Science, IT Systems, or other relevant field.
  • 3+ years proven experience in project management in professional services
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation, or comparable, an asset
  • Computer proficiency in Google suite and/or MS Office applications, along with the ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Familiarity with tools such as Basecamp and Mavenlink an asset
