What Is The Google Marketing Platform?

In case you missed it, the integration of Google’s DoubleClick and GA360 Suite technology under the GMP umbrella is the result of a large strategic initiative for Google to be best-in-market at helping the world’s largest marketers and advertisers compete with analytics. Their primary goal for this platform integration is for marketers and advertisers to be able to tie a more direct line between how their media investments in DoubleClick contribute to the achievement of more meaningful business objectives, while also being able to leverage valuable audience data in GA360 to drive more targeted and relevant campaigns.

What’s Next?

Updates will be released to customers publically on July 24th. Users of Google Analytics 360 and DoubleClick will see a new look, a new home experience, and the launch of the Integration Center – a portal to discover, review, and create new product-to-product integrations.

Changes to advertising products is also happening as part of the launch. This includes:

  • Search Ads 360 – a rebranding and evolution of DoubleClick Search
  • Display and Video 360 – incorporates the capabilities of DCM, DBM, Data Studio, and AudienceCenter (formerly positioned exclusively as a Data Management Platform) into one offering to help marketers execute ad campaigns in one place

Campaign Manager and other DoubleClick products will be transitioned out as Display & Video 360 gets developed.
